Enjoy one of the most spectacular sunsets in the Southern Hemisphere indulging by the beach with a bottle of Bintang beer, or join the in-crowd at the uber-hip Ku De Ta, Potato Head, or Woo Bar beach venues. For those looking for more casual sophistication then Mozaic Beach Club could be more your cup of tea.
Bali bar and club crawling: start your evening sipping sunset cocktails at Ku De Ta before treating your taste buds to a delicious dinner at Urchin, Bistro Petitenget, Biku, La Luciola or Bambu Bali. Enjoy the happy hours and have a couple of games of billiards at the Deck. Add some funky colour to your evening with one or two frozen margaritas at Motel Mexicola. Take a refreshing walk along the bustling Jalan Kayu Aya, Seminyak’s shopping street, and finish off with a glass of Moet at the Red Carpet Champagne Bar before ending your night dancing your socks off in La Favela. If you don’t fancy walking and feel like dressing to kill then put on your heels and head to Woo Bar. If it's still not enough, you may continue to Jenja at Townsquare hotel, and then wait for the morning to come round in Pyramid. And if at any time through the wee small hours you start to feel hungry, then the 24-hour diner, Soho in the middle of Kayu Aya, can’t fail to satisfy.
Enjoy Bali's famous relaxing and detoxing spa sessions from morning till night and around the clock. Some of the island’s best spas are located within easy reach of 4S an include Martha Tilaar Spa, Sentosa Spa, and Prana Spa which all offer an extensive range of perfect massages, sophisticated detoxing treatments, manicures, pedicures and body scrubs available a-la carte or in packages. If it’s late at night the 24-hour Away Spa by the world-famous W will be just the ticket. For the more budget minded, Seminyak offers endless choices for massages and treatments but our recommendation would be Bodyworks, Jari Menari massage school, or Espace.
Leave behind the hustle and bustle of Seminyak and head to the rural charm of the Canggu area for some more relaxed living. Formerly a group of traditional villages surrounded by emerald rice fields, it has developed into the expat’s locale of choice and is now filled with cosy coffee shops, bakeries, restaurants, surf-clothing stores, and many more western-oriented venues. Have a delicious lunch in Betelnut, and then cross the road and visit “Deus. The Temple of Enthusiasm”, a custom bike shop and clothing store, which also houses a Thai-food restaurant and skateboard park and comes alive after 9pm on Sundays for the hipsters. Relax in the caring hands of expert spa therapists at the Golden Dust beauty lounge or in Therapy. Take a walk and watch the sunset on Batu Bolong or Echo Beaches, and finish your day with dinner at the Beach House. Sundays offer a different vibe with the beach venue, Old Man’s, being transformed into a beer garden with live DJs and bands. If you want to combine a nice break with some sightseeing, then pay a visit to Tanah Lot sea temple, or book for horse ride on Gangga Beach.
Dine in some of Seminyak's best restaurants. Try the Pan-Asian fusion and authentic cocktails in Mama San (Sunset road), mix up some French and local delights at Chez Gado-Gado at Double Six Beach, Sample the westernized Indonesian cuisine at Merah-Putih or long-time favourite Sarong in Petitenget. Don’t miss the newly open seafood specialists at Urchin, just a few minutes walk from 4S. For the freshest tuna sashimi and authentic Japanese cuisine then Take restaurant in Kuta is just the place for you and only 15 – 20 minutes by taxi. If science is your thing then visit molecular-food laboratory at Ku-De-Ta's Mejakawi, only a seven-minute walk away. For relaxed and casual yet sophisticated beachside dining you can’t beat the multi award-winning Mozaic Beach Club, just 10-15 minutes by taxi. Or if you are looking to dine on the beach much closer to home then The Breeze at the Samaya Resort a short walk away will surely satisfy your cravings for good food and sunsets.
You’re on a tropical island so why not take a long and pleasant afternoon walk on the beach? You can start visiting Petitenget temple (one of Bali's nine most important temples protecting the island from the evil spirits), than turn left onto the beach and you can buy a kite from local traders in front of Ku-De-Ta. And keep walking south in the direction of Kuta. After passing Anantara hotel you may feel like stopping at La Plancha beach shack for a cold glass of beer or some chilled sangria. Feeling hungry? A little further along the beach you can try a seafood feast at Blue Ocean, one of the island’s oldest and most reputable beachfront restaurants. Enjoy a traditional Italian pizza in Mozzarella restaurant, or for fancy fare try Cocoon, with the added bonus of a swimming pool, a great cocktail list and live DJs. If you are in the mood for some entertainment then finish your day watching the latest Hollywood's blockbuster in Beachwalk, a fantastic tropical style shopping and entertainment mall at the end of Kuta Beach. Or if you have the energy then check out the live music at Hard Rock Café.
Head to Ubud, Bali's capital of craftsmen, arts and galleries. Visit some huge Hindu-temples, take a walk in the sacred Monkey Forest, discover ancient museums and art galleries, and the woodcarving workshops to see real pieces of art being made from local timber, and buy some silver and gold jewellery for your loved ones (Angel-to-Angel silversmiths gallery is a real gem for those in the know). When you feel hungry have an organic lunch in Sari Organik surrounded by unspoiled rice-fields, or enjoy the scenery from the hillside Indus restaurant’s dining terrace. For spiritual enlightenment, visit the Tirta Empul holy springs, or the 11th century temple complex at Gunung Kawi.
Looking for new ideas to change the look of your house or flat? Then spend a day looking for interior design ideas and discover endless galleries along the bustling Kerobokan and Merta Sari roads. And don’t worry about the excess baggage. There are plenty of sourcing and freighting agents who can take care of delivering big items right to your door at home.
Take a tour to the spectacular south Bali cliffs and visit the surfing Mecca that is Uluwatu. Start off at the magnificent cliff-top temple, Pura Uluwatu and marvel at the views and afterwards stop at the Blue Point Uluwatu surf spot to watch the fearless wave-riders perform their moves. Take the rest of the day relaxing by the beach in one of a number of luxurious beach clubs such as Finn’s, Karma Beach, or the cliff-front El Kabron and its saltwater swimming pool above the sand. Do you want to feel like a local? Head back to Jimbaran Beach for sunset for dinner at one of the many seafood-"tavernas" at Muaya Beach near the Four Seasons Resort Jimbaran where they grill and smoke the freshest fish, prawns, squid, clams and lobsters over coconut shell charcoal with their special ‘Jimbaran’ sauce. This is not to be missed!
And finally, take a chance on the water and learn to surf with a one of Bali’s most reputable surf schools such as Rip Curl and Quicksilver, or just chat to one of the local surfers at Double Six beach and fix a price. You won't regret it.
We haven’t said anything about the endless shopping experiences available to you at 4S villas as there are too many shops on your doorstep to count. Head out the door and start on Jalan Oberoi and keep walking all the way down to Jalan Raya Seminyak and you will pass hundreds of boutiques and small shops ready to dress you up from head to toe in all kind of summer styles and fashions.

— In fact we're most delighted that it looked even more beautiful than in the photos! Seminyak beach is also very near, you can get there in about 5 mins on foot. If we weren't on such a tight schedule, I'd have spent a whole day lying on the comfy king-sized bed!Sing Yee, Malaysia
— Villa location is excellent & right in the middle of Seminyak so all the restaurants & shops are literally outside the door. The beauty of it though is once inside the villa, the pool and gardens all feel so secluded you don't feel in the middle of busy Seminyak!Rossa Roy, Australia
— The villa is awesome. The staff over there is really helpful and friendly. It was an unforgettable experience for our girls trip in Bali. The villa is really peaceful which is a good escape.Sophia, New Zealand
